Pyrène, Cuvée Marine

MY RATING: 7/10

IN A NUTSHELL: A citrussy Sauvignon Blanc

ORIGIN: France (Côte-de-Gascogne)

VARIETALS: Colombard – Sauvignon Blanc – Gros Manseng

SAQ PRICE: $13.95

Not a bad wine. I didn’t really like it at first, but it grew on me after a day! It is a crisp, refreshing, citrussy wine. It comes across as a lemony Sauvignon Blanc, exactly as its grapes would suggest. It has a quite a delicate finish for a wine of this price. I found it better when quite cold. It is OK on its own, if you like a zingy wine. It  would also be nice paired with spicy Asian food. Decent value for money.
