Château Montaiguillon Montagne Saint-Émilion

MY RATING: 6/10

IN A NUTSHELL:  Light and tasteless (you get what you pay for!)

ORIGIN: France (Bordeaux, Montagne Saint-Émilion)

VARIETALS: Merlot (78%), Cabernet Franc (20%), Cabernet Sauvignon (2%)

SAQ PRICE: $13.60

I was hoping this would be a delightful little surprise, but, alas, it was a big disappointment. Light in colour and light in taste, it has promising hints of strawberry, mint and pepper but, overall, was sour and bland. Maybe it needs a few years to mature and a few hours to breathe? But who has the patience!
